Tasty Soaps

Soap I have a teeny, tiny bathroom and dream of the day when I'll have a spacious bath to decorate the way I've always dreamed.

Today I stumbled upon Darling Dexter, whose mix of graphic design, quirky finds and amazing taste make up a drool-worthy and picture perfect blog.

She recently posted about these fantastic little soaps that look like delicious cookies and I wish I could just eat them.

But since they're soap, I'll settle for adorning my (tiny) bathroom with them instead.

Wedgie Free

Sarah_chalke You may have already seen the Hanes commercial with Scrubs star Sarah Chalke shows how she stays wedgie-free.

Fashion Salad wrote a post about it and says that not only will Chalke appear in the commercials, but co-star Zach Braff will as well! Now this I've got to see.

Fashion Salad says:

"On the [Hanes] site, visitors will also be invited to sign-up for weekly "Wedgie-Free Wednesdays" product giveaways, submit their own wedgie story, rate other stories using the "Blush-O-Meter," and send humorous e-cards to spread the word about wedgie freedom."

Feel like being wedgie-free? You can visit the site here. (The site's a little slow today, but it should load eventually.)

Friday Fashion Funnies

Uglydress_1958_11761922 Because it's Friday and everyone needs a good laugh on Friday's...

Fashion a La Mode wrote a funny post inspired by the movie 27 Dresses on terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad bridesmaid dresses.

As a bride-to-be myself, I agonized over picking the right dress for my girls. One that would flatter everyone, coordinate nicely with my colors and overall look nice. I managed to do it, but some people clearly missed the mark.

Check out this post to see some of the worst of the worst!

Is your baby safe?

Crib As if a mother doesn't have enough to worry about, they have to stop and think about crib safety. An article on Hub Pages, "Crib Safety: Is your child protected?" will make you stop and think.

According to the article, 1,100 children have died from crib-related injuries in the last 20 years with an average of 22 a year!

How can you make sure your baby is safe? Hub Pages says:

  1. The gaps between the slats of the crib should be small enough that a soda can cannot pass between them.
  2. There should be no corner post extensions nor should there be decorative cut-outs.
  3. Be sure that hardware such as bolts and screws are not loose or missing.
  4. Nothing should be protruding, such as: rivets, nuts, bolts, wing nuts, or knobs.
  5. The mattress should be tight-fitting; ensure that 2 fingers can't fit between the mattress and the crib's side.

Stamp It

Heart This first caught my attention because in the next few months I have many, many wedding-related envelopes to put stamps on.

Stamps? They're going up in price again. This time to $0.42. Which means unless you have a book of Forever Stamps (the ones with the flag), after May 12th you better make sure you have the correct postage or your letters (or my  invitations!) (ah!) won't arrive.

It's a Jaime Thing wrote a very helpful post about it and explains exactly what you'll need for correct mailings.

See the world through rose colored glasses

Anne Or really, just put a big old rose on your outfit.

A new Hollywood trend seems to be the incorporation of roses on everything. Anne Hathaway donned a red dress covered in rosettes to the Oscars, handbags are now adorned with them and almost every designer has a shoe with one ore more on the toe.

SheFinds dedicated a whole post (with pictures!) to it.

Personally, I'd rather leave the roses to the garden. But that's just me.

What do you think? Roses: yay or nay?
